Old Town Temples

We stayed in Old Town, inside the old city walls, and there were so many temples there. We went to all of these in one day.

This one is the Golden Temple

There were cute lanterns and streamers hung up around the entrance. Which we didn't see until the end because we went in through the exit lol

There is incense burning everywhere in Thailand. And it smells SO GOOD. Way better than the stuff I smell over here.

Another reclining Buddha (thematic)

At first I didn't think I'd like this temple, for obvious reasons...

Note my reaction.

But it turned out to be awesome.

Each side had a different statue and alter set up at the bottom.

Unfortunately you couldn't go up/in it

The grounds around this were really relaxing and felt nice

Northern Temples

We went to two temples that were outside of old town - Doi Suthep and Doi Inthanon. We went to Doi Suthep first, randomly, and took a red truck there. We went to Doi Inthanon after which was further away. We took motorcycles up to that one 😊

We went to a ladyboy cabaret in Chiang Mai and it was AWESOME. Very entertaining, a lot of energy, and the choreo was awesome. Plus they took a liking to Nando ;)
